Escape the Dead: Craig Mabbitt’s ‘Walking Dead’ Recap – Season 4, Episode 11

By : Unknown

Craig Mabbitt / Mullet ScientistEleven Seven / AMC

In addition to being Escape the Fate‘s lead singer, Craig Mabbitt is a diehard viewer of ‘The Walking Dead.’ For Season 4 of the hit AMC show, Mabbitt has signed on to write an exclusive recap of each episode for Loudwire. Check out his rundown of Episode 11 below:

So let’s just start this week off by saying Milton was a WAY better “scientist” than this mullet douche! I just don’t like him, something’s off……

So we start this week’s episode off with a friendship that seems to be blossoming full bloom between Michonne and Carl, as they eat dry cereal. Michonne mentions she’d love it if they had soy milk and Carl explains how a 3rd grade friend had him try and and he puked! He’d rather have Judith’s formula….and that’s where the convo ends. Rick thanks Michonne for making Carl laugh, and Michonne decides to head out with Carl for supplies and insists that Rick stay behind to rest, which he attempts to do.

We change over at this point to see what Glenn is up to and he’s in the back of that army truck and starts bashing the back window demanding to be let off to go find Maggie, so long story short we find out that this mullet scientist knows why this all happened and is the key to saving humanity and they need to get to Washington, D.C. ASAP … This obviously doesn’t change Glenn’s mind about searching for Maggie, so they get into a brawl, and as always this is the moment walkers show up — this time it’s walkers of the corn, ahhhhhhh!

So the Kenny-Powers-lookin’-ass scientist grabs a gun and starts shooting, they eventually eliminate all walker threats but in the process Billy Ray Scientist shoots the fuel tank of the truck … nice goin’! So Glenn walks off and everyone follows … lets see where this takes us.

Now back to Rick, who is trying to rest. He’s woken up when a group of men barge into the house looking for supplies, shelter, whatever. This whole scene caused me so much anxiety — Rick hides under the bed, dude plops down on top to rest, is woken up by one of his own to give up the bed, they brawl and dude gets slammed to the ground and choked out to death all while staring at Rick under the bed…INTENSE!

So Rick makes his way out from under there into room from room and eventually to the bathroom where he noticed another dude taking a s–t … uh oh …Rick shuts out his life with the strap of the dude’s rifle (how no one heard this ruckus is beyond me); he makes it out the window; jumps to the ground from the roof and sees Michonne and Carl returning. But there’s a guy on the patio above him … Rick moves to attempt to take him out and BANG gun shot from inside and walker sounds, I’m guessing that dude that got choked out staring at Rick was reanimated. So Rick takes the opportunity and runs to Michonne and Carl and they run off into the distance.

We now see them walking the railroad tracks and what do they come upon? A terminus sign!! Woot, woot I can’t wait for this next episode!! Looks like Rick and Carl are gonna be reunited with Judith soon!

Our thanks to Craig Mabbitt for his recap of the latest episode of ‘The Walking Dead.’ Please note that Craig’s opinions do not necessarily reflect those of Loudwire. You can enter to win a deluxe box set copy of Season 3 in the contest below. Escape the Fate are currently on tour with Eve to Adam. Reob Zombi* to Film Manson Family Project With ‘American Psycho’ Author

By : Unknown
Rob ZombieRick Fagan
The one and only Rob Zombie recently announced that he was scrapping work on a planned hockey movie to work on another horror project. Now, it’s been revealed that Zombie is teaming up with ‘American Psycho’ author Bret Easton Ellis to revisit the famous Manson Family slayings of August 1969.

Rob Zombie has truly aligned himself with one of the best creative partners he could in Bret Easton Ellis. Along with ‘American Psycho,’ Ellis has penned modern classics such as ‘Less Than Zero’ and ‘The Rules of Attraction.’ The author also recently made his screenplay debut with ‘The Canyons,’ an erotic thriller-drama starring Lindsay Lohan.

As for the Manson Family project, Zombie and Ellis have aligned themselves with Fox and Alcon Television. Though still in its early stages of development, the project is currently planned for release as a “limited series.”

“I have been obsessed with this insane story since I was a kid, so obviously I jumped at the chance to be involved in this incredible project. After speaking with Bret, I immediately realized that we shared the same vision for this epic madness,” Zombie says. [via Variety]

Although Charles Manson never physically took part in any of the Manson Family murders, he was convicted of conspiracy for instructing his followers to commit the slayings. Manson, now 79 years old, continues to serve a life imprisonment sentence at California’s Corcoran State Prison.

Stay tuned for more news on Rob Zombie’s Manson Family project as details continue to emerge.

Tim Lambesis Pleads Guilty to Murder-For-Hire Charges, Faces Up to 9 Years in Prison

By : Unknown
Tim Lambesis
CBS

As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis pleaded guilty today, Feb. 25, to solicitation of murder for his role in a murder-for-hire plot to kill his estranged wife, who is also the mother of Lambesis’ three adopted children. As a result of his guilty plea, Lambesis may be facing nine years in prison and a $10,000 fine, according to ABC 10 News in San Diego. He will be formally sentenced on May 2, reports Lambgoat.

Last year, Lambesis was arrested after allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife, Meggan Lambesis, who filed divorce papers in late 2012. The hitman turned out to be an undercover officer. Lambesis was released on $2 million bail and remained on house arrest during the duration of his court proceedings, with minor exception.

Just a few days ago, full details of Lambesis’ meetings with the undercover cop were shared online. Here is a portion of the officer’s testimony. Here is the account via Radio.com:

“During our conversation he told me that he had picked out three dates that were good dates for him, for me to kill his wife. Those were the dates that he would have his children and therefore, he would not be a suspect in the case.”

The undercover officer tried to get Lambesis to use the word “kill” or “dead” during their conversation, which he said was recorded, but Lambesis resisted. “But he continued to say repeatedly that, I want her gone. I want her never ever, ever to come back.”

Then Lambesis started to walk away. “So, as he was leaving, we got about fifteen or twenty feet away from each other and he turned back to me and he goes, “Just to clarify, just so you know, I do want her dead.’”

The remaining members of As I Lay Dying have not yet commented on Lambesis’ conviction, but stay tuned to Loudwire for all updates on this developing story.

Corey Taylor: Slipknot to Start ‘Major’ Work on New Album in March

By : Unknown
SlipknotMary Ouellette,
A new Slipknot album is becoming more and more of a reality, as frontman Corey Taylor has revealed in a new interview with Kerrang (excerpted by NME) that the band will begin major work on the disc in March.

Taylor confirmed that the band has 17 new demos that they’re taking into the studio to work on for their next disc. He added, “I can say that, to me — and this is only my opinion — it’s a cross between ‘Iowa’ and ‘Volume 3,’ but that’s honestly just scratching the surface. I think fans are going to be very, very excited when they hear this stuff.”

He went on to add, “I’ve written lyrics for everything that we have right now and it’s feeling pretty good. It feels like the story of the band so far, which is a totally different take on what I’ve been used to writing with Slipknot, but I think because of everything we’ve been through, it’s time to tell that story. It’s going to be everything you want in a Slipknot album, and everything you wouldn’t expect.”

This, of course, will be a different Slipknot than the one that released 2008′s ‘All Hope Is Gone’ album. In the time since, the band’s bassist, Paul Gray, died in 2010 of a drug overdose, while the group parted ways with longtime drummer Joey Jordison late last year. Aside from the other core members of the band, it is not known if anyone else is joining the group in the recording sessions.

Meanwhile, with Slipknot set to hit the studio, their official website and Facebook page have gone “dark,” with only blank black images being displayed.

KISS Won’t Perform at All at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

By : Unknown

KissMary Ouellette,
Once Kiss were revealed as Class of 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, the big question that arose was whether the band’s original lineup would perform together at the ceremony. Now, to the disappointment of their fans, it’s been announced that KISS won’t perform in any form at the April 10 event in Brooklyn, N.Y.

It’s been a whirlwind few days of statements from all of the band’s original members, with guitarist Ace Frehley first revealing that he and fellow former member Peter Criss would not be performing with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley at the ceremony.

“I don’t think Kiss fans are gonna be too excited and happy about the news, ’cause at this juncture, Paul and Gene have decided to perform with [current members] Tommy [Thayer] and Eric [Singer], and it looks like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is going along with it,” Frehley told radio host Eddie Trunk on his Friday night program.

Then, drummer Criss chimed in with his own statement, saying, “I feel bad for the fans who were looking forward to the four of us being inducted together … I wanted to make sure that fans understood that no original performance, in or out of makeup, has been offered to us before they purchased their tickets.”

Once these statements were made public, Simmons and Stanley, the two current founding members of Kiss, dropped the final bombshell on fans, stating that they wanted to perform with Frehley and Criss, as long as additional current and former members would be able to participate in the festivities, as well. But when that couldn’t happen, they decided to pull out of performing altogether. Their full statement via their official website reads as follows:

To All Our Fans In Regards To The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame:

Out of respect, Ace and Peter’s recent statements demand a quick response to you, our fans.

Our intention was to celebrate the entire history of KISS and give credit to all members including present long time present members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, and additionally Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr all who have made this band what it is, regardless of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s point of view.

Although KISS has moved forward far longer without them, Ace and Peter are at the very foundation of what we have built and this would all be impossible had they not been a part of it in the beginning.

It is over 13 years since the original lineup has played together in make-up and we believe the memory of those times would not be enhanced. Contrary to claims made through the media we have never refused to play with Ace and Peter.

We have spent 40 years dedicated to building KISS without quitting or wavering as the band has moved forward with huge tours and platinum albums through different important lineups for forty years, to this day.

KISS has always been a band unlike any other. That is why we started KISS. That is why we continue KISS. Being unlike other bands also means making choices and decisions unlike other bands.

This is understandably an emotional situation where there is no way to please everyone.

To bring this to a quick end, we have decided not to play in any line-up and we will focus our attention on celebrating our induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

We are excited and are looking forward to seeing you all on the KISS 40th Anniversary worldwide tour.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will take place April 10 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Along with KISS, other inductees include Nirvana, Hall & Oates, Peter Gabriel and more.
