- Thirty Seconds to Mars, ‘Conquistador’ – Exclusive Lyric Video Premiere
Posted by : Unknown
Saturday, January 25, 2014

proud to premiere the lyric video for the disc’s hard-hitting track ‘Conquistador.’
The band has already unleashed the single ‘Up in the Air,’ a dancey number with pop sensibilities, but ‘Conquistador’ shows that Thirty Seconds to Mars can still bring the rock. In fact, frontman Jared Leto tells us the song is in many ways the antithesis of ‘Up in the AIr.’
“We are very excited to release ‘Conquistador’ to the world and show the flip side of the coin to ‘Up in the Air’,” says Leto. “It is the dark wild child of ‘LOVE LUST FAITH + DREAMS.’ Unbridled, and full of anarchistic madness, this song is crushed full of passion + energy. It will surely become an important part of our upcoming shows.”
‘Conquistador’ features call-and-response verses leading to a powerful chorus as Jared Leto belts out “This is a fight to the death” over a crushing riff by guitarist Tomo Milicevic and a pounding drum track by Shannon Leto.
Check out the lyric video for ‘Conquistador’ below, and pre-order Thirty Seconds to Mars’ upcoming album ‘Love Lust Faith + Dream’ at iTunes.
